Focus: The Summer Institute for Languages of the Muslim World is a language institute that takes place over the summer (June 15 - August 8, 2015) on the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign campus. This summer we will be offering Arabic, Persian, Swahili, Turkish, Urdu, Uzbek and Wolof. 

Our institute includes both intensive language learning and extra-curricular activities including cooking classes, conversation tables and movie nights. Students can earn up to ten credits over the course of eight weeks. 

Many of these languages have been designated by the US government as critical to U.S. National Security and can assist students in securing international positions in governmental, development and academic sectors.

Minimum Education Level: No Minimum

Tuition Explanation: All students will receive in-state tuition regardless of status.

Tuition prices differ slightly depending on the number of credits being taken (Elementary classes are ten credits, Intermediate classes are eight credits and Advanced classes are six credits), and whether or not the student was
previously at student at the University of Illinois.
