Linguistic Field(s): Translation

Call Deadline: 30-May-2015

International Journal of Translation - IJT
(Vol. 27, No. 1-2, Jan-Dec 2015)

International Journal of Translation - IJT (ISSN 0970-9819), started in 1989,
is a peer-reviewed international journal devoted to translatology that has
been publishing articles on subjects including translation process,
translation theory and methodology, cross-cultural transfer, contrastive
linguistics, translation pedagogy, and lexicology. The journal also aims to
provide a forum to enable translators, other practitioners, and researchers to
keep each other informed about what is happening in the discipline. It is
published in January and June every year.

This is a call for paper inviting original scholarly works related, directly
or indirectly, to the field of translation. The main topics include, though
are not limited to: machine translation (MT); computer-assisted translation
(CAT); translation and learning strategy; natural language processing (NLP);
lexical resources for translation; translation theories; translation and
communication; translation vs. interpretation; translation and semantics;
translation and pedagogy; translation and cognition; theory, history, culture
and sociology of translation; translation involving minority languages and
cultures; translation of scriptures, etc.

The papers pertaining to the areas mentioned above should be submitted to the
Guest Editor, on his e-mail with a copy of the same to the Editors on their
e-mail as well. Submission of an article is taken to imply that it has not
been previously published or is not being considered for publication
elsewhere. Manuscripts should generally not exceed 8000 words - including
abstract, endnotes, references, and tables, if any. Tables and figures should
be included in the running text.

The last date of submission for the articles is May 30, 2015.

For the preparation of camera ready manuscripts, kindly refer to the
''Guidelines for Submission'' link given on our website or by going inside the
specific journal's section or request the Editors.
