Meeting Description:

The CoLTA 2015 conference aims to bring together academics from around the
world to report on their various corpus linguistics related research work,
especially new technologies employed in the investigation into corpora in
linguistics, language learning and translation studies. As more and more new
technological tools have been developed in recent years for corpus linguistics
research, and many Hong Kong tertiary institutions, including the HKIEd, are
actively engaged in this research area, we hope that through the CoLTA 2015
conference we can promote Hong Kong as a hub for academic exchanges and
collaborations in the area of technology-driven corpus for linguistics
scholars around the world.


Call for Papers:

Papers for oral presentations and poster presentations are invited. The themes include but are not limited to the following areas:

- Development of corpus analysis tools and applications
- Corpus design and compilation
- Corpus-based multimodal discourse analysis
- Corpora, contrastive studies and translation
- Corpus-based computational linguistics
- Corpora, language acquisition and teaching
- English as a Lingua Franca corpora studies

We invite submissions of abstracts for the following types of contributions:

Paper Presentation:

25 minutes (20 minutes for presentation; 5 minutes for comments and questions)
 
Poster Presentations:

To be displayed at conveniently accessible conference venue.

Abstracts should be within 400 words (excluding references and figures).
