Meeting Description:
The conference on Sami studies will bring researchers, students and policy makers together to create a platform for dynamic and constructive debate, networking and research initiation. The conference focuses on current Sami research with an emphasis on (1) Traditional Knowledge and Cultural Expressions, (2) Education, Language and Revitalisation, (3) Global challenges, sustainability and livelihood, and (4) Decolonization and self-determination.
Call for Papers:
Abstracts should be no longer than 250 words, written in English or in some Sami language (accompanied by a simple English translation so that the experts in the scientific committee are able to assess your abstract), and emailed to: aktasne at umu.se. Send your abstract together with information on how you want to be contacted in case your presentation is accepted to the conference. Also, inform us under which main theme you want to place your paper/presentation. You are welcome to send us several abstracts in case you are doing multidisciplinary research.
