The 7th International Conference on Formal Linguistics

The 7th International Conference on Formal Linguistics (ICFL-7) will be held at Nankai University, Tianjin, China, on December 2-4, 2016. The conference is co-organized and sponsored by Chinese University of Hong Kong and Tianjin Normal University. The ICFL is a conference where linguists from all over the world discuss the latest proposals in any field of formal linguistics. It is held every two years in China since 2001, which has greatly promoted the communication among linguists and fostered the study of formal linguistics. 

Conference registration fee: RMB ¥800 for non-students, RMB ¥400 for students.

2nd Call for Papers:

ICFL-7 invites submissions of papers in any field of formal linguistics, including phonology, syntax, morphology, semantics, natural language processing, child language and language acquisition, interfaces, and biolinguistics. Papers about formal approaches to the study of Chinese dialects and the minority languages in China are particularly welcome, especially from young scholars.

Deadline for abstract submission: June 15, 2016
Notification of acceptance: July 15, 2016
Conference Registration: December 2, 2016
Conference dates: December 3-4, 2016

Conference language: English or Chinese

Abstract Format:

Abstracts should be written in English (Times New Roman, 12) or in Chinese (Song, 12) within one page (A4) in length (including examples and references).
Authors are asked to submit two copies of their abstracts to icfl2016 at 126.com: one anonymous in PDF, and the other in MS Word format with the author’s information including name, affiliation and email address.
