Meeting Description:

The inaugural APVEA conference will be held at the Muroran Institute of Technology in
Japan, July 18-19, 2015.

The program will include individual papers, symposia, workshops, presentations, and posters. The theme for the inaugural conference is ''Borderless Communication Now - Theory and Practice''

Registration
1 March 2015: Online registration opens
31 May 2015: Deadline for presenters to confirm attendance and register

Program:

7 June 2015: Draft program available on the website
19 June 2014: Full conference information available to participants

Call for Papers:

Proposals addressing the theme are particularly welcome. Submissions may include, but are not restricted to:

- Virtual exchange best practice
- Virtual exchange research design
- Showcasing of virtual exchange activities
- Virtual exchange with language learning as the focus
- International relations via virtual exchange
- Designing virtual exchanges
- Intercultural exchange
- Synchronous and/or asynchronous virtual exchange
- Virtual exchanges for specific contexts and purposes

All those dedicated to developing virtual exchange are invited to contribute their expertise.

Proposals for Papers, Symposia, other presentations, Workshops and Posters must be submitted online via the APVEA submission system which is open now. The submission system will close on 16 February 2015.

18-19 July 2015: APVEA inaugural conference, Muroran Institute of Technology
10 December, 2014 - 16 February, 2015: Abstract submission
1 March 2015: Presenters notified of acceptance or rejection of papers
