Meeting Description:

The 8th Linguistics Association of Ghana Annual Conference (LAG 2015) is scheduled for Monday, 27 – Wednesday, 29 July 2015 at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi. The conference is under the theme: Language in the Midst: Theories and Practice.

Call for Papers:

Invited papers are especially, but not exclusively, expected to focus on the above theme and the core areas of Linguistics such as Phonetics, Phonology, Morphology, Syntax, Semantics and their interfaces, as well as the following sub-themes:

- Language and Technology
- Language, Law and Legal Practice
- Language and (New) Media
- Language and Health
- Language in Education
- Language and Religion
- Language Teaching and Learning
- Language and Society
- Language in Business
- Language and Information Systems
- Language and Politics
- Language for Specific Purposes

Submission Guidelines: 

i. Anonymous single-spaced abstracts should be sent electronically to linguisticsgh at gmail.com
ii. Details of the authors including names, institutional affiliations and e-mail addresses should be sent on a separate sheet to the same address
Iii. Abstracts should be in WORD format
iv. An additional PDF format should be provided for abstracts containing special characters or figures
v. Word limit of abstract is 250 words

Papers will have an allocated presentation time of twenty (20) minutes plus ten (10) minutes discussion.

Deadline for abstract submission: April 1, 2015
Notification of acceptance: April 15, 2015
