Meeting Description:

The Department of Applied Linguistics at the Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania, Faculty of Technical and Human Sciences Târgu-Mureș is pleased to announce its international conference entitled TRANS-LINGUISTICA 3., which will be held on May 28–29, 2015 (Thursday-Friday).

Conference languages: Hungarian, Romanian, English, German.

Sections:

1. Mother tongue language pedagogy and foreign language teaching
2. The theory and practice of translation
3. The tradition of multilingualism in the European culture
4. Language use and language contact
5. Applied linguistics

Conference fee: 200 RON (upon registration, on site), covering registration, conference materials, reception (May 28, 8 p.m.), as well as coffee breaks.

Call for Papers:

Participants are welcome to contribute with thematic presentations (20 minutes), posters, case studies, workshops, and can suggest topics for round-table discussions.

Applications are invited with a short abstract, in which please indicate the type and section of your presentation. Please specify: the title of the presentation, a short abstract (a maximum of 2,000 characters/300 words), keywords (in the language of the presentation), and information regarding the author (name, academic degree, affiliation). Please send your abstracts by March 31 to the following address: trans.linguistica3 at gmail.com.

Abstracts will be reviewed by April 13, and a feedback regarding acceptance will be sent by April 20. The final stage of registration is filling out the application form by April 30 (sent upon acceptance).

A selection of the presentations will be published in the conference proceedings. Written papers will be accepted only if they are presented at the conference and only after peer-review. Papers are accepted until June 30 on the above e-mail address, the guidelines will be sent upon acceptance. Articles sent after the deadline will not be accepted.
