Call for Papers:

As people are traveling to an unprecedented extent, we now encounter foreign cultures both home and abroad. We currently live in a global network where spatial, linguistic and cultural mobility is reshaping our identity. This international conference aims to explore mobility from an interdisciplinary perspective, addressing the role of travel and/as intercultural communication.

We welcome theoretical and applied research papers in English dealing with issues of cultural diversity, linguistic and cultural exchange engendered by travel texts and practices, with a possible focus on travel to and representations of the East, for the following conference tracks:

- Literature and language studies
- Cultural and anthropological studies
- Film and media studies
- Intercultural communication and translation studies
- Social and political studies
- Geography, history and archeology

Please submit a 200-word abstract for peer review at entice at linguaculture.ro by April 10, 2015. Participants will have 20 minutes for their presentations and are invited to submit final papers at or soon after the conference. The papers will be published in indexed conference proceedings with an international publisher.
