Call for proposals for the ANS panel at Modern Language Association (MLA) Convention
7-10 January 2016, Austin, TX

Call for Papers:

The American Name Society invites proposals for a panel offering literary analysis under the theme of “Names in the Workplace.” We encourage submissions pertaining to this topic from diverse literary genres, such as prose, poetry, drama, television, or film. Papers may deal with any aspect of naming, e.g., personal names, placenames, corporate or trade names, name theory, etc. Submissions from anywhere in the world are most welcome. Proposals should include a 50-word abstract and a 250 word precis sent to cdevinne at ndm.edu with ''MLA Proposal'' in the subject line. Proposals must be received by 20 February 2015. Proposers will be notified of the results following a blind review process. Panelists selected to present their papers must be member of both the MLA and ANS.
