The notion of interference as the combination of two or more phenomena and effects pertains as much to the physical sciences as, by extension, to the disciplines of philology, literature, and linguistics. The symposium is addressed to PhD students and Postdocs (within 4 years of conferment of title), and it aims to build up a discussion about different aspects of the idea of interference, from both a synchronic and a diachronic perspective.
