Meeting Description:

This one day conference focuses on the application of ICT in language education. The goal of this event is to provide a forum for researchers and practitioners working in this diverse and expanding field. This conference will be of interest to researchers and practitioners who are seeking to better comprehend the nature of second language acquisition in technology mediated environments. 

The invited speaker is Professor Thomas N. Robb (Kyoto Sangyo University). Professor Robb is a well know practitioner in the field of computer assisted language learning (CALL).

Call for Papers:

Abstracts are currently being accepted for the above conference to be held at Campus Plaza Kyoto  on Sunday October 11 2015 (9am to 5pm). Submissions are invited for 40-minute presentations or workshops (plus 10 minutes Q&A) on the following or related themes:

- Web 2.0 technologies in the language classroom
- E-learning and collaborative learning
- Social networking applications and tools
- Teacher professional development and digital technologies
- Digital game-based language learning
- Mobile-assisted language learning
- Digital literacies
- Telecollaboration
- Social media and language learning

Deadline for submissions: August 10, 2015. Please note that virtual presentations are not permitted.

Abstracts of no more than 200 words should be mailed with the subject “October 2015 ICT conference submission” to: jaltkyoto at gmail.com. Please be sure to include your name, affiliation, and the title of your talk.
