Meeting Description:

The 9th International Symposium on Ancient Chinese Grammar will be organized by the Humboldt University Berlin, Seminar of East Asian Studies and the ZAS, Zentrum für Allgemeine Sprachwissenschaft, Berlin (Centre of General Linguistics). All scholars and students carrying out research in Ancient Chinese morphology, syntax and semantics are cordially invited to submit abstracts for this conference.

The essential information regarding this conference can be found below: 

Date and Venue:

- The conference will be held at the Institute of Asian and African Studies of the Humboldt University Berlin on Friday 29 and Saturday 30 July, 2016. 
- The participants are expected to arrive in Berlin on July 28 in the afternoon and to leave on the 31 or at the very latest on Monday August 1 in the morning, if they want to participate in the excursion that will be organised for Sunday 31.
- The location of the conference will be at Humboldt University and the accommodation will be at the Guesthouse of the Humboldt University https://www.ta.hu-berlin.de/gaestehaus and in hotels in the vicinity of the campus.

All scholars and students carrying out research in Ancient Chinese morphology, syntax and semantics are cordially invited to submit abstracts for this conference.

Call for Abstracts :

- Abstracts in Chinese, or English are invited for 30-minute presentations on all aspects of Classical Chinese Grammar from any theoretical perspective.
- To facilitate the reviewing process, please identify in a few keywords below the abstract the primary domain of Classical Chinese addressed in your paper (e.g., Morphology, Syntax, Semantics, Lexicography, Functional/Pragmatics, Dialectology, Computational/Corpus Linguistics, Writing, Palaeography, etc.).
- Abstracts must be on a single A4 page, single spaced, 12-point type (or ‘small 4’ for Chinese), with one inch (2.5cm) margins (top, bottom, sides). 
- Please send two copies of the abstract as attachments by e-mail, one of which should have the name of author(s), affiliation(s), and e-mail address as a Word document; the other one (for anonymous review), identified by title only, as a pdf document to the following address:	ISACG9.2016 at gmail.com

Deadline for Receipt of Abstracts:December 15, 2015 
Notification of Acceptance : February 15, 2016.
