 Dear LINGUIST List Subscribers, 

We are less than $400 away from reaching the $15,000 mark! Will you help us reach that number today by donating? Remember, our goal is to collect $79,000.00 for our editors and the programming support. You are not donating
for your own interest alone – LINGUIST List is read worldwide, by professionals but also students and language enthusiasts who otherwise would have much more limited access to linguistic contents, especially for financial

In our University Challenge, Indiana University Bloomington and Stanford University have ranked first and second throughout most of the Fund Drive, but this week we have seen incredible activity from North-West University, Potchefstroom and Vaal Triangle Campuses, South Africa! They have made an amazingly generous donation of over $820! We thank them very much for their kindness and commitment to LINGUIST List, and they challenge all other African Universities to beat them!

In our Subfield Challenge, we have 21 out of 27 subfields represented! However, we can’t wait to see some support from the other six! We still need representation from those working in forensic linguistics, genetic classification, lexicography, linguistics and literature, philosophy of language and writing systems.
