Focus: Eighteen courses are offered on a wide variety of linguistic topics. The courses are taught by researchers from all over the world, and range from introductions to a particular subfield to highly specialized courses. In addition, there are four 'Research Discussion Groups' in which the focus will be on the students’ own work.

Minimum Education Level: MA

Special Qualifications:
The LOT schools are primarily meant for advanced students. This means that we are open to PhD students affiliated with one of the LOT institutes or other research institutes in the world.

Research master students (REMA) affiliated with one of the LOT institutes and who have finished at least two semesters of their program before the start of the school are also welcome to participate. Research master students affiliated with the LOT partner institutes Leuven and Gent may also participate. We regret that we cannot accommodate (RE)MA students affiliated with other research institutes. 

The Research Discussion Groups (formerly known as "Master Classes") are open for PhD students only.

Description:
The next Netherlands Graduate School of Linguistics (LOT) Summer School will take place June 15-26, 2015, and will be hosted by the University of Leuven (Belgium). 

Participants are encouraged to present their work during the weekly poster session. They may present a poster with original work, try-out their poster for an upcoming conference, or present a poster from a previous conference.

Tuition: 200 EUR

Tuition Explanation: Tuition prices are as follows: 

- one week: 200 euros
- two weeks: 350 euros
- accommodation excluded

If affiliated to one of the eight LOT institutes, participation is free for all PhD-researchers and Research Master students who have finished at least two semesters of their program before the start of the school. 

Postdoc researchers and PhD-researchers/Research Master students who are not affiliated to one of the LOT institutes, please check the general info on our website for the participation fee and other costs.
