Meeting Description:

SSHIF – Social Sciences and Humanities in Focus is happy to announce that SSHIF-2015 International Symposium on Global Perspectives on Social Sciences and Humanities – Theory and Practice will be held in Warsaw, Poland.

The Symposium will be hosted by the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw (PAN) on September 16-18, 2015. 

The symposium has been planned to cover a range of critically important issues and themes relating to the Interdisciplinary Social Sciences community. Plenary speakers include some of the leading thinkers in these areas, as well as a numerous paper, colloquium, poster and workshop presentations.

The confirmed plenary speakers are:

- Prof. Dr. Yusuf Ziya Özcan (Sociologist –Turkish Ambassador to Poland)
- Dr. Hasan Hasanov (Historian- Former Prime Minister of Azerbaijan - Azerbaijan Ambassador to   Poland)
- Prof.Dr. Mirosław Pawlak (Linguist - Rector of The State School of Higher Professional Education in Konin, Poland)

Registration:

All the participants are requested to submit their registration form available on our symposium website and send it to the symposium email: sshif2015 at gmail.com by August 1, 2015.
The symposium registration fee (paper / workshop / poster and participation), which covers registration fee, symposium materials, refreshments during the coffee breaks, symposium dinner, and the cost of subsequent publication is: 225 EUR (early registration fee paid by August 1, 2015) 250 EUR (regular registration fee paid by August 15, 2015).  All participants willing to participate as speakers and audience in the symposium need to pay their registration fee by August 1, 2015 (early registration fee) or by August 15, 2015 (regular registration fee) and send the scanned transaction document to the symposium email.

We are inviting proposals for paper presentations, workshops/ posters/exhibits, or colloquia) addressing the social sciences in one of the following themes and their subfields:

Proposal ideas that extend beyond these thematic areas will also be considered. 

Abstract Submission:

Abstracts of papers, workshops or posters in the range of 200-250 words should be sent to the symposium email: sshif2015 at gmail.com by June 15, 2015. Please note that the abstracts should be sent on special abstract form available on our website: www.sshif.org Each participant will have the opportunity to present 2 papers. Notifications of acceptance will be sent by July 15, 2015. Accepted presentations will be published in an edited book by and in an International Journal             

All those wishing to present papers, posters, prepare a workshop or just to attend presentations are welcome to participate in the symposium.
