Meeting Description:

The Laboratoire d’Etudes et de Recherches sur l’Interculturel (LERIC/URAC 57) (Lab for intercultural Studies and Research) at Chouaib Doukkali University is pleased to invite you to its third young researchers’ conference to be held at the Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences, El Jadida on 4 and 5 June 2015.

The conference aims:

- To provide a forum for young researchers with opportunities to interact, network and benefit from each other’s research and expertise related to intercultural approach to discourse
- To advance the methodology for intercultural findings to facilitate understanding across cultures;
- Strengthen your  network with other doctoral students as well as with distinguished academics and professionals in their area;
- Publish your work in the Conference Proceedings (selected papers only);
- Further develop academic and research skills.

Useful information:

LERIC will offer free access to all sessions, 2 lunches, coffee breaks, conference materials, and publication of accepted papers. Special arrangements will be made with local hotels for a limited number of rooms at a special conference rate.

2nd Call for Papers:

Suggested, but not exclusive, research areas include: 

- Intercultural approach to discourse;
- Didactic discourse (teaching / learning of second languages and foreign);
- Intercultural approach to language teaching;
- Literary discourse, political discourse, media , film ,Translation ;
- Discourse and gender 
- Language, identity and intercultural communication
- Gender, language, identity, and intercultural communication
- Intercultural training in the global context
- Translation, interpreting and intercultural communication
 
Guidelines for Submissions:

Abstracts should be written in French or English and should not exceed 200-300 words. In addition, references and/or figures may optionally be included, but should not exceed 2 pages of A4. 

Your abstract should be anonymous. You will be asked to submit a version with your name and affiliation on it if the abstract is selected for presentation.

Important Dates:

- Abstract Submission Deadline: 3 May 2015
- Notification of Acceptance: 10 May 2015
- Conference: 4-5 June 2015
- Full Paper Submission: 5 July 2015
- Conference Working Languages: French and English
