Meeting Description:

The 2015 Asian Conference on Second Language Acquisition and Teacher Education (SLATE) will be held at the Mitsui Garden Hotel in Hiroshima, Japan. SLATE is a three-day, international, peer-reviewed conference that invites scholarly interactions among academics, researchers, educators, and students. With the theme Language in the 21st Century, the conference is a wonderful opportunity to share research, insights and techniques, and form professional networks in this burgeoning field of linguistics and education.

The symposium will precede the 70th Hiroshima Peace Memorial and Remembrance Ceremony. Registration includes meals and a free trip to Miyajima to see the ''floating'' torii gate -one of the three views of Japan and a UNESCO world heritage site.

Call for Papers:

Full papers are welcome, but not required. Registered participants with an accepted abstract and/or refereed full paper will be published in the Proceedings (ISSN 2189-2164). Oral, poster and virtual presenters shall be included in the Proceedings.
