Meeting Description:

The annual Conference on Typology and Grammar for Young Scholars is organized
by Institute for Linguistic Studies (Saint Petersburg, Russia) in order to
provide an opportunity for young scholars to  establish contacts with their
colleagues from both Russian and foreign research centers working in different
linguistic areas and to faciliate a traffic in ideas so as to contribute to
further develop of academic and research skills and advance the scientific
thought.


Call for Papers:

Submissions from young researchers (under 35) working in all areas of linguistic typology and grammatical theory are welcome.

A thematic session on negation is planned as a part of the conference schedule. We invite to join the thematic session all researchers working on negation, regardless of language material or theoretical framework.

Each talk selected for presentation will be allotted 20 minutes followed by 10 minutes of discussion. The official languages of the conference are Russian and English, abstracts can be written in either language. The deadline for abstract submission is 14 September 2015.

Anonymous abstracts (not exceeding 4000 characters) in .doc/.docx/.rtf format should be sent to the following email address: youngconf at gmail.com, with “ABSTRACTS” stated as an email subject. The following information should be provided in the body of the e-mail:

- The title of the abstract
- The author’s or authors’ first name(s), family name(s), affiliation(s)
- E-mail address and contact phone number
- Please specify if you intend to participate in the thematic session

If you use non-standard fonts, please attach them to the e-mail and send your abstract in .pdf format.

Each author may be involved maximally in two abstract (no more than one single-authored abstract).

There is no participation fee. In case funding is secured, the Organizing Committee hopes to provide financial support to cover accommodation costs.
