Meeting Description:

The Language and Speech (LASLAB) research group is pleased to invite you to a one-day workshop to be held on 6th November 2015 at the Faculty of Arts of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) in Vitoria-Gasteiz.
 
This workshop will bring together experts on language acquisition from different perspectives (bilingual first language (L1) acquisition, second language (L2) acquisition, third language (L3) acquisition). Current challenges of linguistic theory and implications for the language classroom will be debated. To facilitate the interdisciplinary exchange of ideas among researchers, students and teachers, we invite them to submit abstracts for a poster session.

Dr. Heather Marsden (University of York)
Dr. Ludovica Serratrice (University of Manchester)
Prof. Roumyana Slabakova (University of Southampton)
Prof. Bill VanPatten (Michigan State University)

Call for Papers:

We welcome abstracts for a poster presentation session on any language acquisition area involving L1, L2 or L3. The paper should focus on issues such as, but not limited to, the following: 
 
Early bilingualism
L2 acquisition
L3 acquisition
Language acquisition in the classroom
Language attrition
Language processing
Individual factors
 
Abstracts should be a maximum 300 words (excluding references). Name, affiliation and email address should be provided on a separate page. The language of the workshop is English. 
 
Abstracts should be submitted electronically to laslab.workshop at gmail.com.
