Meeting Description:

The International Conference on English Historical Linguistics, dealing with all aspects relating to the history and development of English, is held every second year. The most recent conferences took place in Leuven, Belgium (2014), Zürich, Switzerland (2012) and Pećs, Hungary (2010).

Call for Papers:

We invite you to take part in and submit contributions to ICEHL-19 in 2016.

ICEHL-19 will take place at the University of Duisburg-Essen (Campus Essen), Germany, 22-26 August 2016 (academic programme 22-25 August, conference excursion 26 August).
 
Presentation format: Full papers of 20 minutes plus 10 minutes for discussion. 
Workshops: A total of four workshops can be scheduled (one per day). 

Submission of Abstracts and Workshop Proposals:

Abstracts and workshop proposals can be submitted from 1 June onwards. 
The deadline for abstract submissions via Easy Abstracts (linguistlist.org) is December 15, 2015. Proposals for workshops are invited by 15 October 2015 by mail to the conference address below. 
Notification of acceptance of workshop proposals will be given by 1 November. Notification of acceptance of abstracts will be sent out by 15 February 2016.
