EWCA 2016 conference is open to anyone interested in EFL/ESL/TOEFL writing and composition. 

The conference is organized by the University of Lodz, in cooperation the European Writing Centers Association under the auspices of the International Writing Centers Association.

Call for Papers:

Dear Colleagues,

European Writing Centers Association would like to invite you to ponder on the (he)art of success(ful) writing centers​. Since the conference aspires to be a forum for writing center practitioners and researchers from all over and outside Europe, the themes we wish to suggest include (but are not limited to):

- learning, tutoring, and teaching writing
- supporting writing development in and outside the classroom
- teaching and tutoring writing across the curriculum
- writing in the disciplines
- writing in the academe and at the workplace
- role of writing in the globalized and digitalized world
- writing in native and non­native languages
- student writers as multilinguals and language learners
- individual and intercultural writer differences
- cooperative writing development
- tutoring and peer tutoring
- tutor training and development
- writing teacher training and development
- institutional support for writing development and writing centers
- national and international writing centers’ collaboration

The main conference language will be English. However, remember that for the majority of EWCA members English is a foreign language, and we will use it as a lingua franca to communicate within topics of common interest, for which absolute accuracy is not a requirement. On the other hand, if you wish to offer a panel session in another language​, 
we will be happy to have it, as long as you think you will have adequate audience among the conference participants (individual presentations in languages other than English will be considered only if at least three submissions in a given language are received).
