Meeting Description:

Organized by the journal Studies of the Chinese Language (Zhongguo Yuwen) at the Institute of Linguistics of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, in connection with Shanghai Normal University, the 2nd Conference on Interactional Linguistics and Chinese Language Studies will be held in the second half of March 2016 at Shanghai Normal University in Shanghai, China.

Call for Papers:

Interactional Linguistics has been one of the most active research fields in contemporary linguistics. The conference will explore the following themes: 

1) Theory and methods of interactional linguistics
2) Application of interactive perspectives in language surveys and analysis
3) Grammaticization of syntactic structure and constituents

The conference will feature a series of frontier reports from international scholars.

Papers will be selected for the volume Interactional Linguistics and Chinese Language Studies published by Beijing World Publishing Co.

Interested scholars should submit two copies of abstracts for review, with one anonymous and the other containing author’s name, institutional affiliation, and email address. Abstracts are limited to a single A4 page.
