Description:

The Department of Linguistics and Cognitive Science is searching for a linguist in any subfield of linguistics who uses experimental or computational research methodologies. This is a tenure-track appointment at the Assistant Professor level with a 2/2 teaching load. PhD in Linguistics must be in hand, or expected by September 2016. The successful candidate will have experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and a demonstrated commitment to improving higher education for underrepresented students. Submit a dossier including (a) letter of application, (b) curriculum vitae, (c) teaching evaluations, (d) transcripts, (e) three brief statements -- one addressing teaching philosophy, one addressing scholarship, and one addressing demonstrated ability to mentor a diverse student body, and (f) three letters of recommendation.
