Meeting Description:

The Department of General and Romance Linguistics (Faculty of Arts and Humanities, University of Lisbon), announces the V International Conference on Hispanic Linguistics. Centres and peripheries, and invites scholars to take part in it. The aim of the conference is to encourage a contrastive approach, from a historical perspective or from a geographical or social point of view, and will accept papers from several research areas, such as dialectology, geolinguistics, sociolinguistics, language contact, phonology, morphology, syntax and semantics. 

Call for Papers:

The aim of the conference is to encourage a contrastive approach, from a historical perspective or from a geographical or social point of view, and will accept papers from several research areas, such as dialectology, geolinguistics, sociolinguistics, language contact, phonology, morphology, syntax and semantics. Papers may focus on the Spanish language, but also on all languages in contact with it around the Hispanic world. 

Deadline for submission of abstracts is 10 January 2016. Please send them to: jornadasdelinguistica at fl.ul.pt. 

Notification of acceptance/rejection will be given by 15 February 2016.
