Meeting Description:

ICEG is held every year in India. It was founded by Professor V. Prakasam of CIEFL (now EFLU) Hyderabad. The main aim of the congress is to encourage research in the filed of Systemic Functional Linguistics and its applications, in particular and in the field of General Linguistics, in general. The Congress aims at bringing together all the scholars who have interest in Lnguage as a phenomenon of human practice.

Call for Papers:

Research Papers and workshops are invited on the following topics:

Systemic Functional Linguistics: Theory & Practice
English Grammar: SFL & other Approaches
Text Analysis & Interpretation
Linguistics & English Language Teaching
Focus on Language in Literary Theories

English & other Languages: A Comparative Study
Linguistics & Translation Studies

These are only suggestive areas, but not an exhaustive list. Therefore the participants are free to select any other topic which can relate to the theme of the congress.
