Job Rank: Post Doc

Specialty Areas: Cognitive Science; Semantics; Text/Corpus Linguistics

Required Language(s): German (deu)

Description:

The Department for Language and Information, General Linguistics, of the Heinrich Heine University Duesseldorf, Germany, invites applications for a postdoc position (German scale TV-L E13 100%) for research in formal and lexical semantics. The object language is German; the job requires native speaker competence of German.

The position starts in January 2016 and ends in June 2019.

The candidate will be the main researcher in the project C10 "A frame-based analysis of adjective-noun combinations" of the Collaborative Research Center CRC 991 (heads of the project: Sebastian Löbner and Wiebke Petersen).

Details are given on this website: https://www.phil-fak.uni-duesseldorf.de/index.php?id=21817.

The CRC 991 offers a rich and stimulating research environment: It is a collection of about twenty research projects from linguistics, philosophy and psychology that focus on the structure of representations in language, cognition and science with a particular emphasis on frames and on lexical semantics.

The University seeks to advance the equality of men and women and therefore emphatically encourages women to apply. In case of equal qualification, preference will be given to people with disabilities.
