LLA (Linguistique et Langues Africaines / African Languages and Linguistics) is an international journal for African linguistics (ISSN: 2429-2230) focusing on languages spoken in Sub-Saharan Africa, be they vernacular, vehicular or creole. The first issue now available (978-2-35935-146-0) has been published in June 2015 (http://llacan.vjf.cnrs.fr/lla/actual.html).

The 2nd issue is due to be published by the second half of 2016. Proposals can be submitted to llafrique at vjf.cnrs.fr before the end of November and should include a short abstract. They will undergo a double-blind peer review by experts other than the members of the editorial board.

LLA is open to all theoretical approaches. The selected articles may be chiefly concerned with every linguistic domain, or include an anthropological component. Contributions providing comparative or typological approaches are also welcome. LLA is also particularly interested in publishing analyses based on fieldwork data as well as studies relating to little documented or endangered languages and cultures. It is also open to contributions that are less concerned with theory, such as working documents or firsthand data; such research will appear in a special 'notes and documentation' section. Our journal also includes book reviews.
