The Department of Linguistics at New York University seeks to fill two tenure-track assistant professor positions to begin September 1, 2016, pending administrative and budgetary approval. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, and supervising student research.

We seek colleagues in the following areas:

First language acquisition - Whose research addresses issues related to first language acquisition.

Variationist sociolinguistics - Whose research addresses language use and linguistic diversity from a variationist perspective.
