This is a short version:

An der Philologisch-Kulturwissenschaftlichen Fakultät der Universität Wien ist
die Stelle einer/eines

Universitätsprofessorin/Universitätsprofessors für

Germanistische Sprachwissenschaft (Gegenwartssprache)

(privatrechtliches Dienstverhältnis, Vollbeschäftigung, unbefristet) zu
besetzen.

Entsprechend dem Entwicklungsplan der Universität Wien ist diese Professur den
Themenbereichen‚ Sprachliche Kommunikation: Systemische und funktionale
Dimensionen (Kognitive und soziale Grundlagen sprachlicher Kommunikation sowie
Sprachlehr- und Sprachlernforschung) zugeordnet.

Die/der Stelleninhaber/in soll das Fach „Germanistische Sprachwissenschaft“ in
Forschung und Lehre in seiner ganzen Breite vertreten und im Kernbereich der
deutschen Gegenwartssprache ausgewiesen sein. Bewerberinnen/Bewerber sollen
Forschungsschwerpunkte in mindestens zwei Teilgebieten der Germanistischen
Sprachwissenschaft aufweisen, die auch für die Studiengänge, an denen die
Germanistische Linguistik beteiligt ist, nutzbar gemacht werden können
(insbesondere Phonologie, Morphologie, Syntax, Textlinguistik, Pragmatik).

Erwartet wird die Bereitschaft zur Übernahme von Lehrverpflichtungen in der
germanistischen Sprachwissenschaft in allen curricularen Stufen (Bachelor,
Master, Doktorat), zur Betreuung von Abschlussarbeiten, zur Förderung des
wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchses und zur aktiven Mitarbeit an der universitären
Selbstverwaltung. Erwünscht ist auch eine Kooperation mit dem SFB „Deutsch in
Österreich. Variation – Sprachkontakt – Sprachperzeption“.

Erfolgreiche Kandidatinnen/Kandidaten qualifizieren sich durch:

- Doktorat und Post-Doc Erfahrung an einer Universität oder einer anderen
Forschungseinrichtung (eine der Verwendung entsprechende abgeschlossene
inländische oder gleichwertige ausländische Hochschulbildung)
- hervorragende Leistungen in der Forschung, internationale Reputation und
exzellente Publikationstätigkeit, sowie Einbettung in die internationale
Scientific Community;
- erwünscht ist eine facheinschlägige Habilitation (venia docendi) oder eine
international anerkannte gleichwertige Qualifikation
- Erfahrung in Konzeption, Einwerbung und Leitung größerer Forschungsprojekte,
sowie Bereitschaft und Fähigkeit zur Führung von Forschungsgruppen
- Erfahrung in der universitären Lehre und die Fähigkeit und Bereitschaft in
allen curricularen Stufen (Bachelor, Master, Doktorat) zu lehren,
Abschlussarbeiten zu betreuen und den wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchs zu fördern
