Dear colleagues,

In approximately one year we hope to receive the participants of the 19th

Wissenschaften in Munich, Germany. The Colloquium will be organized by the
Thesaurus Linguae Latinae in cooperation with the University of Amsterdam.
Although the information given below is also available on the website of the
Colloquium (http://www.icll2017.badw.de) we want to inform you and remind you
of the upcoming deadlines.

Overall program :
The Colloquium starts on Monday afternoon, 24 April 2017 with an opening
program that will be devoted to the Thesaurus Linguae Latinae, to be followed
by a welcome reception. Colloquium papers will be presented in plenary and
parallel sessions from Tuesday morning, April 25 through to Friday afternoon,
April 28. On Thursday afternoon, there will be an excursion to Schloss
Nymphenburg. The conference will be concluded with a conference dinner on
Friday evening, April 28.

The 19th International Colloquium on Latin Linguistics (ICLL), will be held in
2017, April 24-28, in Munich, Germany. It will be organized by the Thesaurus
Linguae Latinae (Bayerische Akademie der Wissenschaften) in cooperation with
the University of Amsterdam.

The conference will be devoted to all aspects of Latin linguistics, whether
from a synchronic or a diachronic perspective, corresponding to the period
covered by the Thesaurus Linguae Latinae. Contributions taking into account
modern developments of linguistics are especially welcome.

The colloquium will start on Monday afternoon, April 24. The papers will be
presented in plenary and parallel sessions from Tuesday, April 25 through to
Friday, April 28. Furthermore, there will be workshops on selected topics and
a poster session. Papers in parallel sessions will be limited to 20 minutes,
followed by discussion. The official conference languages are English, French,
German, Spanish, and Italian.

There will be a half-day working session followed by a cultural program on
Thursday, April 27. The conference will be concluded with a conference dinner
on Friday evening, April 28.

After its success in the 18th colloquium in Toulouse, for the second time a
special course for PhD-students will be organised, preceding the conference.

We hope to see you in Munich in April 2017,

The Organising Committee:

Munich: Manfred Flieger, Nigel Holmes, Marijke Ottink, Josine Schrickx, Maria
Selig

2nd Call for Papers:

Papers :
Papers in parallel sessions will be limited to 20 minutes, followed by
individual discussion, or by a combined discussion pertaining to a group of
related papers. Whenever possible, we will try to couple participants with
related topics and encourage them to exchange papers in advance, in order to
create more interaction and discussion during the Colloquium.

Workshops :
In addition, participants are invited to propose workshops themselves.
Workshops are primarily intended to be working sessions involving active
participation. Those of you who want to organize a workshop should notify us
as soon as possible of their intentions, outlining the topic of the workshop,
as well as an approximation of the number of active participants foreseen.

Posters :
During the Colloquium, several poster sessions will be scheduled, which give
participants an opportunity to present their research on a more individual
basis to (small groups of) their colleagues.

Important deadlines :
The deadline for provisional sign up and provisional title of the paper or
poster is extended to June 1, 2016, by email (icll at thesaurus.badw.de).
Proposals for workshops should be sent to the same email address as soon as
possible, but not later than June 1.

The deadline for sending in a definite title and abstract is October 1, 2016.
The abstract can be uploaded here:
https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=icll2017. Before December 15, 2016
participants will be notified whether their paper or poster is accepted.
Workshops will be discussed individually with the organisers, and posted on
the website.

Abstracts :
Abstracts should not exceed 500 words (not including examples and
bibliographical references) and should clearly state research questions,
approach, method, data, and (expected) results. The official conference
languages are English, French, German, Spanish, and Italian. Abstracts will be
reviewed anonymously by an evaluation committee.

your federal and sometimes your state tax return (U.S. tax payers only).
For more information visit the IRS Web-Site, or contact your financial

Many companies also offer a gift matching program, such that
they will match any gift you make to a non-profit organization.
Normally this entails your contacting your human resources department
and sending us a form that the eLinguistics Foundation fills in and
returns to your employer. This is generally a simple administrative
procedure that doubles the value of your gift to LINGUIST, without
costing you an extra penny. Please take a moment to check if
your company operates such a program.
