Description:

Het Comité van Ministers van de Taalunie heeft besloten het Instituut voor
Nederlandse Lexicologie (INL) in Leiden om te vormen tot een breder Instituut
voor de Nederlandse Taal (INT). Het INT zal een centrale positie innemen in
het Nederlandse taalgebied op het vlak van het wetenschappelijk verantwoord
ontwikkelen, bewaren en duurzaam beschikbaar stellen van taalmateriaal. Het
INT staat in voor het aanmaken, archiveren en onderhouden van corpora, lexica,
woordenboeken en grammatica’s voor het Nederlands, en levert daarmee
noodzakelijke bouwstenen voor de bestudering van de Nederlandse taal. Het INT
is een onafhankelijke stichting, verankerd in het Verdrag van de Nederlandse
Taalunie.

Functiebeschrijving
De directeur geeft leiding aan het instituut, draagt daarvoor de
eindverantwoordelijkheid en is de direct leidinggevende van de medewerkers. De
directeur voert deze taken uit als directeur-bestuurder - integraal
verantwoordelijk voor financieel beleid, personeelsbeleid, en inhoudelijk
beleid - en is voor zijn beleid verantwoording schuldig aan een Raad van
Toezicht.

Profiel
De directeur van het INT is een gerenommeerd onderzoeker op het terrein van de
Nederlandse taal, en heeft aantoonbare ervaring met het leidinggeven aan een
complexe professionele organisatie. Hij/zij heeft nationaal en internationaal
een uitstekende wetenschappelijke reputatie (professorabel) wat betreft de
voor het instituut relevante onderzoeksvelden. Op basis hiervan kan hij/zij
het INT vertegenwoordigen en positioneren als een centraal instituut op het
gebied van de Nederlandse taal. Hij/zij is vertrouwd met de nieuwste
ontwikkelingen op het terrein van beheer, ontsluiting en beschikbaarstelling
van onderzoeksmateriaal. Hij/zij heeft ruime ervaring met besturen en
leidinggeven op hoog niveau, inclusief financiële en personele
eindverantwoordelijkheid.

Competenties
Noodzakelijk competenties zijn strategisch en vernieuwend denkvermogen,
omgevingsgerichtheid en netwerkvaardigheid, overtuigings- en
motiveringskracht.
