The Department of Linguistics at Stanford University is seeking applicants for
a faculty position in the area of psycholinguistics. Candidates at the junior
or recently tenured level may apply for this tenure-track position. Applicants
will be expected to teach courses at both the graduate and undergraduate
levels in the area of psycholinguistics, broadly defined, and to maintain an
active research program. The term of appointment will begin September 1, 2017.

The Department particularly values candidates whose work engages with multiple
subfields of linguistics and connects methodologically rigorous empirical
insights to significant theoretical questions. Applications from candidates
whose research engages with language development and/or spoken language are
especially welcome.

Applicants should submit the following materials electronically, in PDF
format, to  lingjobs at stanford.edu: a cover letter addressed to the Faculty
Search Committee; curriculum vitae; brief statements of research and teaching
interests (no more than three pages combined); summary teaching evaluations
(if available); and up to three representative samples of published or
unpublished work. Candidates at the junior level should also request three or
four reference letters to be sent on their behalf directly to the Faculty
Search Committee at the email address above (PDF format preferred). Candidates
at the recently-tenured level may be contacted about references later in the
application process.
