Massey University offers two post-graduate programmes in TESOL Leadership.

The Master of Education in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages
Leadership (MEd TESOL Lead) and Postgraduate Diploma in Education in Teaching
English to Speakers of Other Languages Leadership (PG Dip Ed TESOL Lead) are
intended for current ESOL teachers who are aspiring ESOL leaders.

The qualifications provide the opportunity for advanced professional
development in teacher leadership, an area that is becoming increasingly
important both nationally and internationally, from early years to higher and
tertiary education settings. The learning is both practical and theoretical
and will help teachers to develop their philosophy as a leader, to critically
reflect on teaching, learning, leadership, assessment and policy in TESOL
settings as well as providing an opportunity to research a current TESOL issue
or innovation in more depth. Students on the MEd TESOL Lead and PG Dip Ed
TESOL Lead come from a diverse range of TESOL contexts within New Zealand and
internationally.
