Abstract:

Le Clézio thematisiert in seinem fiktionalen Werk das kulturelle Andere
genauso wie die Suche nach Herkunft. Die Studie analysiert das Entstehen einer
solchen Autorposition und untersucht anhand dreier Romane die Konstruktion
eines Subjekts, dessen Möglichkeit der Existenz zwischen der Sehnsucht nach
dem Anderen und der Suche nach dem Eigenen oszilliert. ‚Heimat‘ stellt sich in
diesem Kontext als kontingent heraus, durch das Fremde genauso repräsentiert
wie durch das Eigene, wodurch sich die Binarität zwischen Heimat und Fremde
auflöst: Heimat ist Fremde ist Heimat – und alles zugleich.
