The position involves Second language Research related to Romance Languages
and Second Language Use.

Main responsibilities:

The postdoctoral fellow is primarily expected to carry out independent
research and also to devote no more than 20 % of work-time to administrative
and/or teaching duties within the department.

Qualification requirements:

Postdoctoral positions are appointed primarily for purposes of research.
Applicants are expected to hold a Swedish doctoral degree or an equivalent
degree from another country, within a linguistic field (a Romance language or
Linguistics), Second Language Acquisition, Language Education or Bilingualism
research.

Assessment criteria:

In the appointment process, special attention will be given to research
skills. As grounds for appointment, particular importance will be attached to
scholarly competence, assessed on the basis of the applicant’s submitted
publications and proposed research plan for the post-doctoral period. The
applicant’s research profile should be oriented towards  high-level L2
proficiency /nativelikeness/ultimate attainment and be applied on one of the
following Romance languages: French, Italian, Portuguese or Spanish.

Particular attention will be given to applicants with degrees completed no
more than three years before the deadline for applications. Anyone who has
already held or still holds a postdoctoral position or fellowship at Stockholm
University for a least a year prior to the appointment date may not apply.

Terms of employment:

The position involves full-time employment for a maximum of two years, with
the possibility of extension under special circumstances. Salaries at
Stockholm University are determined individually. The appointment anticipates
active presence at the department. The appointed fellow should preferably
begin in August 2017.
