Linguistic Field(s): Language Acquisition; Phonetics; Phonology; Psycholinguistics

Call Deadline: 10-Feb-2017

Meeting Description:

The International Child Phonology Conference (ICPC) is an annual conference on
all aspects of children's speech-sound development.

Intended Audience:

Researchers, research partners, graduate students, and other related audiences
are invited to join us May 31 - June 2, 2017 to present and discuss topics in
child phonology.

Following the tradition of this conference, there will be no invited speakers.

Call for Papers:

We invite proposals for oral and poster presentations covering any aspect of
children's phonological development. Topics from previous years have included
development of phonological systems in first, early second, and bilingual
language acquisition, development of signed language phonology, speech
perception, relationships between phonological development and other aspects
of language acquisition, computational modelling, and theoretical and clinical
aspects related to typical and protracted (delayed/disordered) speech sound
development.

Authors should indicate whether they prefer an oral or poster presentation.
Oral presentations are planned for 30 minutes each and posters will be
displayed during dedicated poster sessions that do not overlap with oral paper
sessions. Historically, oral sessions have been plenary. Please note that we
will only accept a maximum of two papers per author: one as sole or lead
author, and one as secondary author.

Abstracts should be 500 words or less, with an additional page for references,
tables, figures. Abstracts must be submitted through the EasyAbstract website.

Notification of acceptance will be in early March.
