Dear Subscribers,

MultiTree, the LINGUIST List's digital library and visual interface of
language relationships, has been brought up to date with the ISO 639-3
standard. Over one hundred and fifty updates to the three-letter language
codes have been added in the past two years, affecting dozens of trees. Users
can explore MultiTree by language name, code, family, and region, or search by
publication for specific hypotheses.

Also, MultiTree has been updated to a sleek new interface. The new interface
features multiple ways of visualizing language relationships beyond the tree
structure. Unlike the original interface, MultiTree can now be accessed on
smart-phones, tablets, and other devices that do not have a Java plug-in.

Try out the new ''View''-option for various alternative visualization methods.

The older interface is still available as well:
