Subject: LL-Map updated and map data saved

 
Dear subscribers,

we have successfully transferred the old LL-Map data to a new software system
and server infrastructure:

http://llmap.org/

The interface is not yet ready, but most of the maps have been rescued from
the old LL-Map server and converted to the new open and free environment. We
are grateful to many LL-students, volunteers, interns and colleagues for their
help with the process. It was one of our main concerns to rescue the data and
bring it back up again.

The new infrastructure will be further improved and the documentation how to
use the system, link to maps, or contribute your own maps will follow.

LINGUIST will be present with a booth at the LSA Annual Meeting in Austin
(Texas) from January 5th to 8th 2017. Please visit us at the booth. Editors
and moderators will be around for meetings and conversation. We would like to
hear from you, talk about suggestions, improvements, new opportunities. Please
let us know, if you would like to arrange an individual meeting with us. This
time we did not schedule special office hours during the conference.
