Meeting Description:

The University of Holguín, Cuba, in collaboration with the Department of
French Studies in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Western University,
Canada, the Department of Language Studies of the University of Toronto
Mississauga, Canada, the Canadian Embassy in Cuba, and  the Hotel Club Amigo
Atlántico, Guardalavaca, Cuba, issue the Second Call for papers for the Tenth
International Conference on Foreign Languages, Communication and Culture,
WEFLA 2016 and the Tenth International Seminar on Canadian Studies: Canada,
managing social and cultural diversity, to be held at Hotel Club Amigo
Atlántico, Guardalavaca, Playa Guardalavaca, Holguín, Cuba, 27-29 April 2016.

This is a conference on foreign languages, communication, and culture, open to
papers in all areas of theoretical and applied linguistics.


Call for Papers:

Abstract Deadline: 25 February 2016 

Objective:

To foster international cooperation in the field of second and foreign
language teaching, communication and cultural issues, as well as in Canadian
Studies, through the presentation of research findings and the discussion of
professional experiences.

Topics:

Include (but are not confined to) the following areas:

- Foreign Language Teaching
- Teacher Training and Teacher Development
- Translation and Interpretation
- Applied Linguistics
- Language and Culture
- Language and Education
- Society and Identity
- Canadian Studies: Canada, managing social and cultural diversity

Submission Guidelines:

The Organizing Committee invites you to submit your contribution to be
considered for presentation at the Conference in one of the following
categories: Paper, Poster, Workshops, Keynote, Panel

Abstract of 250 words, typed using Arial 11 point, single space, letter
format, Word processor MSWord/OpenOffice.

Abstract deadline: 25 February 2016

Notification of acceptance:10  March 2016

Full paper (to be included in the proceedings) must be less than 10 pages,
written in the same format as the abstract.

Full paper deadline: 20 March 2016

The paper must include:

- Title of paper.
- Names and affiliation of all authors (no more than 3)
- Institution 
- E-mail
- Method of presentation.

Languages:

Presentations can be given in Spanish, English or French. 

Interpretation from Spanish to English will only be provided in plenary
sessions.
