Description:

UCLA Department of Linguistics invites applications for full-time and/or
part-time Lecturers for the 2016-2017 academic year to teach courses for
linguistics majors as well as teaching introductory courses in the General
Education program.

The teaching load will be six courses per year with course assignments to be
determined by the department, possibly including any of the following:
phonetics, phonology, syntax, semantics, computational linguistics,
psycholinguistics, language acquisition, and introductory linguistics courses.

Applicants should make use of UCLA’s job application web site (below) to

- Cover letter, including specification of fields qualified to teach
- Curriculum vitae
- Three letters of recommendation, ideally including letters discussing the
applicant’s teaching record
- Statement of teaching philosophy
- Copies of teaching evaluations or other evidence of teaching effectiveness
