Full Title: Stellenbosch Papers in Linguistics Plus

Linguistic Field(s): General Linguistics

Call Deadline: 15-Apr-2016

The Southern African Microlinguistics Workshop (SAMWOP) series held its fourth
yearly event from 27-29 November 2015 at Rhodes University, Grahamstown, South
Africa. As with previous such events, a special issue of Stellenbosch Papers
in Linguistics Plus (SPIL-Plus) has been reserved for articles based on papers
presented at the workshop, but also for any other articles on Southern African
microlinguistics, the term 'microlinguistics' being broadly defined as
research that focuses predominantly on the structural aspects of language,
rather that on its sociological or educational role. The focus of most
previous issues has been on Sub-Saharan languages but articles of a more
general, theoretical nature are also welcome.

Below is the basic aimed-for framework in terms of deadlines:

1st-submission: 15/04/16
Back from reviewers: 15/06/16
2nd-submission (if necessary): 15/07/16
Back from reviewers: 15/08/16
Final submission: 15/09/16

The goal is, therefore, to have the special issue published before the end of
2016.
