Location: New York City, NY / Mountain View, CA

Job Description:

The role of the Project Manager is to consult with Natural Language
Understanding Researchers, Engineers and Analytical Linguists on creating
guidelines and setting standards for a variety of projects, as well as support
the team in creating documentation and project management, coordinate requests
and liaise between multiple teams.
 
This includes:

- Collaborate with researchers, engineers and linguists to scope out project
and data needs and explore new methods of data gathering for a higher
throughput
- Manage multiple projects from conception to delivery
- Manage quality control methodology, implementation and improvements
- Provide analytical and data-driven decision-making support for data
operations projects
- Identifying and assigning required tasks for a project
- Tracking and reporting progress to stakeholders
- Monitoring and controlling quality of the data output
- Maintaining and creating documentation, project pages, project schedule

Requirements:

- BS/BA degree or equivalent; advanced degree is a plus.
- Quick learner with ability to quickly grasp technical concepts
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, good organizational skills
- Technical/analytical writing experience
- Creative thinker with strong problem-solving and analytical skills 
- Independent worker with the ability to effectively operate with flexibility
in a fast paced, constantly evolving team environment. Team player with
exceptional interpersonal and solution oriented attitude. 

Preferred Qualifications:

- Background in Linguistics or Language Studies
- Previous experience in NLP is a plus
- Programming language or previous experience working in a Linux environment
- Project Management experience – ability to define projects and execute
within timelines and with multiple stakeholders. Proven ability to deliver
projects on time. Experience in managing multiple complex projects
- Bilingual or multilingual speaker
- Experience organizing information, developing workflow processes

Project duration: 9-12 months (with potential for extension)

This is not a permanent position but a contract position.
