Meeting Description:

The 4th Conference of the International Society for Linguistics of English
will be hosted by the Faculty of English, Adam Mickiewicz University in
Poznań, Poland, on 18-21 September 2016. The Organisers welcome papers from
all linguistic fields provided they deal with the English language.

Apart form plenary lectures and session papers, there are 5 workshop panels
and a poster session planned.

Call for Papers: 

Dear Colleagues,
You are cordially invited to take part in the 4th Conference of the
International Society for Linguistics of English hosted by the Faculty of
English, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland.

The Conference Organisers are planning three plenary lectures, a series of
workshops, individual paper sessions along with a poster session.

Proposals: 

ISLE4 Organisers welcome proposals pertaining to any field of linguistic
enquiry provided they deal with the English language.

1. Workshops:

A series of workshops is planned. The description of the planned workshops and
contact information of the conveners may be found on ISLE4 website, under
Workshops.
- Pop culture and linguistics
- Grammar-discourse-context: Widening the horizon for a theory of grammatical
change
- Getting more out of corpus data: expanding the empirical evidence for
semantic change
- New Horizons in Ellipsis in English: its syntax, semantics and language
processing
- Diachronic change in New Englishes

2. Individual Papers:

Individual paper sessions are the core of each conference. The ISLE4
Organisers plan on a variety of sessions concerning both synchronically and
diachronically oriented papers relating to all possible linguistic research
areas.

3. Posters

Submission of Abstracts: 

All submissions are to be handed in online via EasyChair. Please make sure
that the abstract you submit does comply with our formal requirements. For
detailed guidelines please refer to the conference web page, under Submission
of Abstracts.

Main submission deadline for all abstracts is 15 March 2016.
Notification of acceptance for papers and poster is 25 April 2016.
