Meeting Description:

The conference investigates the role of language and media in fighting or
accelerating terrorism. Scholars approaching this theme from discourse
analysis, pragmatic, sociolinguistic perspectives or interdisciplinary
research involving language and media studies are strongly encouraged.
Selected papers will be published by an international publisher.


Call for Papers:

Topics include but are not limited to the following:

1. Language, social media and terrorism
2. Media discourse and terrorism
3. Auditory and visual media, language and terrorism
4. Language of the press and terrorism
5. Communication technology, language and terrorism

Participation fee is 250 Dollars.

Fees covers:

- Accommodation for Wednesday and Thursday nights
- Conference bag and accessories
- Transport from airport and to conference venue
- Coffee breaks, lunch and dinner during the conference
