Description:

The Institute of Linguistics at the University of Minnesota invites
applications for a one-year Assistant Professor (non-tenure track) position in
Linguistics, with specialization in syntax, for the 2016-2017 academic year. 
The teaching load for this position is 5 courses over two semesters.  The
successful candidate will teach three undergraduate syntax classes, one
additional undergraduate class, and a graduate course or combination
undergraduate/graduate class in the candidate's area of expertise.  In
addition to teaching, the successful candidate will be expected to mentor and
advise students at all levels of the program.

Requirements include a PhD in linguistics (completed by start of appointment),
strong background in syntactic theory, demonstrated teaching ability, and
commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching and advising. Application
materials should include a cover letter, CV, course evaluations or other
material bearing on teaching record, representative research, and three
letters of recommendation.
