Description:

Three Postdoc scholarships are available for talented and dedicated young
researchers in theoretical and experimental linguistics. Candidates should
have a PhD in General Linguistics, Theoretical Linguistics or
Psycholinguistics. The researchers will be participating in the research group
led by Professor Artemis Alexiadou at Humboldt University in Berlin.

The postdoctoral positions are available for a starting date in April 2016 and
can run for 2 years, with payment according to the German TV-L pay scale (TV-L
13 100%). The successful candidates can also benefit from a yearly travel
allowance (for presenting work at conferences etc.). Candidates will be
expected to publish peer reviewed papers. They are also expected to
participate in all project related activities (workshops, reading groups,
etc.), and to provide support for the PhD students in the group. There are no
teaching duties attached to the position.

including bibliography) that either addresses one of the research questions of
the group or which pursues a novel line of enquiry directly related to the
research group. We specifically encourage proposals focussing on the
syntax-morphology, syntax-semantics interface, multilingualism as well as on
how experimental methodology can advance knowledge in the areas just
mentioned. The application should also include a letter of motivation, a
curriculum vitae including contact and personal details, a piece of the
candidate’s own written work and the contact details of two referees (names,
affiliations and phone numbers or e-mail addresses). 

Applications not including a research proposal will not be taken into
consideration. 

HU is seeking to increase the proportion of women in research and specifically
encourages qualified female scholars to apply. Severly disabled applicants
with equivalent qualifications will be given preferential consideration.
