Call Deadline: 15-Apr-2016

Meeting Description:

This is a Satellite Workshop of LabPhon15.

Recent years have witnessed an increase in experimental investigations probing
the link between the personality characteristics of the individual
speaker-listener on the one hand and her speech perception and production
strategies on the other hand, thereby adding important insights to the growing
body of research demonstrating inter-individual differences in the
construction of a phonetic persona. The ultimate purpose of this strand of
investigations is to uncover the mechanisms behind the actuation of sound
change beyond the acoustic properties of the speech signal and the
physiological constraints on the vocal tract as well as to gain a deeper
understanding of the spread of sound change from one individual to the next.

Invited speakers will be announced soon.
