Instructor in Linguistics

The Department of Linguistics at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey
(New Brunswick) invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track position
as Instructor in Linguistics, effective Fall, 2016. In exceptional
circumstances appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor of Teaching can
be considered. We seek a generalist with strong pedagogical skills and
substantial experience in teaching and development of online courses. The
position also includes administrative responsibility for the online program
and advising students interested in careers in Speech Pathology and Audiology.
The workload is the equivalent of a 3-3 teaching load. Renewal is contingent
upon demonstrated effectiveness in the teaching and development of courses and
administration of the online program, and on continuing needs of the program.

Qualifications

- Ph.D. in Linguistics or related field.
- Experience: 3 years of college-level teaching, with a focus on online
pedagogy.

curriculum vitae, and three letters of recommendation. Applicants may also

evaluations, sample syllabi, and links to online course materials. All

will begin February 7, 2016, and continue until the position is filled or the
search discontinued.
