The Department of English and American Studies at Universität Kassel, Germany,
invites applications for the following post (reference number: 27426): 

Research Assistant (Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter, half-time position, E13
TV-L) for 22 months starting April, 2016.

Specifications: Applicants should hold an MA (or equivalent degree) in English
or General Linguistics. Advanced skills in English and German are necessary. 

We seek a candidate whose academic interest lies in the field of language
cognition and the interface between linguistic and non-linguistic cognition
and / or in theoretical linguistics (e.g., the morphology-syntax interface,
lexical semantics, pragmatics). Preference will be given to a candidate with
experience in psycholinguistics and / or the analysis of empirical data
(corpus research). 

The successful applicant will be expected to teach one linguistics course per
semester (2 SWS per week, 1 SWS = 45 minutes) in the BA / MA programs at the
English department. Language of instruction is English.
